WrightEagleUnleashed! is an international collaboration combining the strengths of the University of Science and Technology of China's (USTC) Multi-Agent Systems Laboratory in China and the University of Technology, Sydney's (UTS) Innovation and Technology Research Laboratory in Australia. Xiaoping Chen
Xiaoping Chen
Professor Chen is Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence, USTC and holds a post in 7 academic organizations. He has long been engaged in interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence, multi-robot systems and symbolic logic and is currently exploring formalization modelling for multi-agent and multi-robot systems. He has undertaken two major projects funded by the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation and two supported by the National 863 High-Technology Program.

Mary-Anne Williams
Professor Williams is Director of the Innovation and Technology Research Laboratory at UTS, and previously guest professor at USTC. Her interests lie in computational models for decision making, reasoning, belief revision and cognitive robotics.


Jinsu Liu
Mr Jinsu Liu
Jinsu is a doctoral student at USTC, and serves as the USTC development leader. He plays an essential role in developing the Nao's walking engine. His research interests lie in motion planning algorithms and biped locomotion.


Rony Novianto
Rony Novianto
Rony is the UTS team leader; he leads the soccer efforts including passing and dribbling challenges. He is a doctoral student at UTS, and the team's newest addition. His interests lie in developing automated methods for learning how to perform robust decision making.


Hao Sun
Hao Sun
Hao is a master's student at USTC. His primary research interests lie in biomimetic control and stability analysis of biped walking.


James Hornitzky
James Hornitzky
James recently completed his undergraduate degree with UTS, and has interests in technology-based innovation. He will be investigating control and strategy.


Yu Gong
Yu Gong
Yu, an undergraduate student at USTC, is principally interested in robot control.


Benjamin Johnston
Benjamin Johnston
Benjamin is a doctoral student at UTS, with interests in hybrid mechanisms for thought and reasoning.


Min Cheng
Min Cheng
Min is an undergraduate student at USTC, who has been working on robot control for AIBOs and Human-robot interaction. He has qualified as a graduate student at the Multi-Agent Lab of USTC.


Gavin Spargo
Gavin Spargo
Gavin is a final year Engineering student at UTS, who is passionate about developing robots. He will be working on localization and control.


Dongpeng Chen
Dongpeng Chen
Dongpeng is an undergraduate student at USTC. Over the past two years, he has been principally engaged in the development of vision systems for robots. He is currently studying speech recognition.


Xun Wang
Xun Wang
Xun is leading the open challenge effort. He is a doctoral student at UTS integrating high-level scripting languages with low-level control systems to maximize developer productivity.


Ming Zhong
Ming Zhong
Ming is a final year undergraduate student at USTC. He is primarily interested in machine vision and human-machine interaction. He took part in several projects on AIBO and NAO robots at the Multi-Agent Lab of USTC.

Glenn Wightwick
Glenn is the Director of the IBM Australia Development Laboratory, Chief Technologist for IBM Australia and an IBM Distinguished Engineer.
